Hi Michael Everybody is different with this but for me when I flare it is extremely painful cramps along with extreme urgency to get to the loo.  Sometimes it hurts so bad that I cry. I can visit the loo about 40 times a day.  Gives you really sore bum too!! Luckily I have been flare free for a long time now. Long may it continue.
