Robert Yes I had a terrible time getting answers about this disease. I have Ulcerative Colitis for the last 4 years.) Yes, my experience is that stress can cause flare-ups. You might try the following web pages for more information. Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America http://www.ccfa.org/ Lists of FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about Crohn’s and Colitis. http://qurlyjoe.bu.edu/ Both of these web pages have many additional ‘Links’ to other web pages. Also the best book I have found on the subject is called: ‘The New People: Not Patients’ by Peter Banks and others. It is published by the CCFA, and is available from the ‘Bookstore’ on the CCFA web page given above. Good Luck and Be Well. Hope this info helps. Howard in Alaska – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – I don’t know about everyone else, but do you have a hard time trying to get answers about this disease? I was diagnosed with Ulcer Colitis 2 years ago at the age of 22. 1 1/2 Years ago my doctor wanted to take out my large intestine! I got a second opinion and found out that I have Crohns Disease. Just when I think I am getting better, I get sick again. Anymore I can’t leave the house without a pad, because I have accidents! I never mind talking about this with people, because I really don’t think people out there know enough about this disease! My four sisters thought it was all a joke when this first happened! Than one day, at Thanksgiving, they saw how sick I was! I have gained so much weight from the Prednisone, and have been off it almost a year now, but I can’t get rid of the weight! It’s hard to exercise, because I tier easily. And why do so many doctors think that this has nothing to do with stress? Everytime I get stressed out, things go wrong with my body. Does anyone think that Yoga could help? I have serious thought about trying it!

No, I play real hockey. None of this pretend ice stuff with a puck here in Australia, there’s no place that has sufficient ice for it (although I think there are a couple of ice skating rinks around the country, and they probably do play ice hockey there, but it’s not big). Sam
