Upper respiratory infection-please reply SOON!!

Question:

- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Has anyone heard of a type of respiratory ailment in cats that is characterized by a wheezing during heavy activity, heavy coughing and wheezing in the presence of dust in the air(such as when litter is changed, and I use the ‘dust-free’ kind) and occasionally a cough which sounds as if he has fluid in his lungs. I have two young cats (8 mo.), they are litter mates, one who suffers from these symptoms, the other who does not. The chest X-ray revealed lungs which seemed irritated (the vets description) but no enlarging of the heart, negative for heartworms, EKG was ok, several rounds of antibiotics produced no effect and several periods of time on Predinisone, successively larger doses produced no improvement. Any clues. I’m kinda green and would like to hear about any and all remedies, particularly but not limited to new Age types. — ~~
