laryngitis with attack

Question:

I have noticed with my last three attacks (including the one I am in presently), I am experiencing severe laryngitis. I’m not referring to the high pitched voice that one can get as the result of forcing air in and out, but actual laryngitis.  I’m a cougher, not a wheezer, and my cough can be quite violent so I wonder if that could have anything to do with it. I’m curious to hear if others experience the same thing? — Marijke http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Forum/2511 Medical Specialist Coordinator:  http://www.mediconsult.com

I have cough variant asthma and two months ago I woke up really sick and my voice was very nasal.  It got worse and worse and then I just had a scratch of a voice.  I have only gotten my voice back in the last two weeks and even then people who haven’t seen me in a while ask me if I am sick.  Comparatively, it’s very strong now.  My GP thinks it’s allergies.  My throat never hurt.  The allergist (that’s another long story) thinks it may be the inhalers.  Anyway the last month I’ve taken pulmicort turbuhaler and I have never been so happy.  I hardly cough at all and I can’t even tell I’m taking anything. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -I have noticed with my last three attacks (including the one I am in presently), I am experiencing severe laryngitis.
