Roscea Treatment
Question:
I also have Rosacea…nothing has helped the redness…As far as a connection with colon problems my father, myself and my sister have a colon problem called Chron’s disease. We have all had operations to remove a part of our colon. My father and myself are the only ones who have Rosacea so far! The main food that causes real problems is chilli peppers we also have problems digesting the enzyme lactase. I’m currently living in Singapore for a year. The heat and the food isn’t helping my skin very much. I tend to just live with it and use BP 5% for the pimples I get. I haven’t tried going to a doctor here….Is metrogel and/or Retin-A perscription drugs? Joel Berger
Response:
..Is metrogel and/or Retin-A perscription drugs?
Yes. Retin-A does nothing for rosacea. Try metronidazole, oral or topical. If no luck, obtain treatment as for systemic Helicobacter pylori infection; very interesting results have been reported, and a link between H.pylori and rosacea appears likely. Pete Lassoff, Pharm.D. London
