Post nasal drip ?

Question:

I recently went to an ENT for a problem I was having with my ears.  Anyhow, while he was examining me, he said that I had post nasal drip.  After I left I did some research on the net about PND and it turns out that I’ve been suffering from this condition for at least the last 9 years or so.  Certainly it is annoying, but I didn’t that it was unbareable.  About the time I first started experiencing PND I asked my allergist at the time (I went for about 15 years of shots, but stopped going about 6 years ago and haven’t had any major problems) he didn’t even diagnose it as PND when I mentioned the symptoms (coughing and clearing my throat often, particularly in the morning). Anyhow, now that I know that what I have is PND I want to put a stop to it, or at least minimize the effects.  I have chronic bronchial asthma, though it rarely effects me any more and I also am allergic to just about everything (though, incidentally no foods or medicines that I know of) including: dust, mold, mildew, feathers, dogs, cats, trees, plants, etc…  Obviously, it’s impossible for me to avoid the majority of these allergens (unless I were to live in a bubble).  I don’t think the solution is for me to go back to an allergist since my allergies really don’t effect me like they used to (resulting in asthma attacks). Is there any medicine that will help with PND? Phil, Try the nasal irrigation with waterpick and grossan tip (lots of posts on it here lately).  It has helped immensely for me and many others.  It has stopped my continual infections, and is worth the investment of $50 total (personal waterpic + irrigator) From: p…@gwar.savvy.com Date: Thu, Apr 23, 1998 10:58 AM wrote:
