Dead Sea at home
Question:
Hi, it’s me again. This is what I found about the Dead Sea Chambers. Again in Russian only and again you’ll have to bear my translation
) Here it goes.
Thanks Alla! I’m sure it was a lot of work translating this piece. The chamber doesn’t sound like something I’d want to squeeze into the family room, or the budget, but it is interesting. I still think it would be nearly impossible to accurately reproduce the total environmental experience of the Dead Sea. The chamber apparently attempts to duplicate the sea and air, but I didn’t see any mention of UV to simulate the sunlight. It does sound like it might be more helpful for respiratory ailments than it would for P. I really think the Dead Sea is just one of those natural wonders that benefits those of us that are in a position to take advantage of it. Duplicating just parts of the total equation elsewhere probably isn’t nearly as effective. (OK, standard disclaimer applies, the "salt shakers" in the group can stop the wild typing! <grin) Thanks again for the info, Alla, and give Watsie a pat for me! Janet

) Here it goes. The Chamber reproduces (at home or in a sanatorium) the micro-climate of the Dead Sea. This Chamber was invented [made??] in Israel. An original high-speed pulverizer [sprayer] with the rotoring speed up to 30000 turnovers a minute creates the moist [humid] air containing salts and minerals of the Dead Sea. The size of the small parts in the air is 5-10mkm. The high persentage (up to 90%) of the respirable fraction in the aerozol I think it means that you inhale up to 90% of the useful components], comfortable temperature and moisture, increased ionisation and increased CO2 are very good for people suffering such diseases as bronchial asthma, neuralgia, asthmatic bronchitis, neuritis, different allergic conditions, [bla-bla-bla .. I can't translate some words, will you forgive me?
] PSORIASIS, eczemas, inflammation of [can't translate again, but I think they meant arthritis]. Phew… As you see, I had to use [ ] for my comments or when I didn’t know which word to choose. But I hope you get the general meaning. Unfortunately I still can’t come in contact with my friend in Israel. As soon as I get more information (I’ll try to find the price first) and I know there are such Chambers in Moscow clinics. I’ll try to get information from there, too. Have a nice day. Alla (and Watsie-dachsie by her side)
